LUCIA ZUMARRAGA
Neuropsychologist
Lucía is the founder and Director of NeuroPed. A degree in Clinical Psychology from the
Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (2002). She completed her teaching period and Diploma of
Advanced Studies in the Neurosciences programme at UCM.
Lucía has made a
Master's degree in Neurorehabilitation Instituto Guttman (Universidad Autónoma
Barcelona).
She served from 2007 to 2011 in the department of
neuropsychology and research of the Institut Guttmann, participating in projects
research national and european quality of co-researcher. In particular it is relevant
her participation in the design and development of the platform of cognitive rehabilitation NPT
(Neuro Personal Trainer) child. In her formative period she has collaborated with
highly qualified professionals.
Lucia has a great experience in the evaluation and treatment of neuropsychological babies,
children and adolescents with disorders in their neurodevelopment. In her dedication to the
clinical neuropsychology pediatric has worked with children and adolescents with brain damage
congenital and acquired as well as various pathologies of the neurodevelopmental (prematurity,
rare diseases, intellectual disability, and developmental).
She is currently the President of the Madrid Association of Neuropsychology. She is co-author
the assessment of Executive Functions in children ENFEN (TEA Ediciones).
She participates as a guest lecturer and speaker at a multitude of conferences,
and congresses, master's and postgraduate courses. D. in Neuroscience (DEA, in the
Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
At NeuroPed, Lucía has developed a unique and effective treatment methodology
and has managed to lead a team of more than 35 professionals who work in coordination
and where the main focus is on the child and her family.

Marta joined the NeuroPed team in June 2015 to enhance the areas of Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology. She specializes in coordinating with families and providing behavioral management guidelines.

She currently serves as the deputy director of NeuroPed and is also one of its tutors.
In her role, she is responsible for conducting initial interviews and coordinating with the professionals involved in the child's development, including the medical team, teachers, and other specialists.
Marta holds a degree in Psychology with a pecialization in Neuropsychology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, obtained in 2007. She later earned a Master's Degree in Cognitive Neuropsychology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2015.

Throughout her professional career, Marta has focused on clinical psychology and
neuropsychology.
She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.
She has collaborated on several research projects in psychiatric hospitals, brain injury centers, and in developing guides to support families.

Marta has completed an internship at the Hospital Universitario La Paz and has experience working in social and healthcare centers with adults.
Currently, she coordinates the Learning Enhancement Unit, which is dedicated to supporting international families in need of assistance.
She has extensive experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of children and adolescents with various neurodevelopmental disorders and in collaborating with parents and teachers involved in their development.
Furthermore, Marta has served as teaching staff and participated in research studies focused on Early Childhood Care.

Sonia Quesada
Neuropsychologist
Sonia joined the Neuroped team in September 2017. Graduated in Psychology at Universidad Complutense deMadrid in 2014.
Has been undertaken by the official Master's degree in Psychology from the
Education (2016) and the Master's degree in Neuropsicologia Child (2018) both at the University Complutense of Madrid. Likewise, has completed the master's program in General Psychology
Health at the International University of la Rioja (UNIR).
Sonia has been formed in consultation teams, and departments of educational psychology at several colleges and the foundation Gil Gayarre with children with intellectual disabilities as well as at the Hospital Gregorio Marañón.
Sonia has the authorization to perform the program Super Skills of emotional and social skills, and has completed the introductory course in Model Denver (ESDM, Early Start Denver Model).
In the field of teaching, he has collaborated in the realization of agenda on neurodevelopment emotional for the European University of Madrid and has been involved in studies of
research on Early Care.

Irene Araujo
Neuropsychologist
Irene joined NeuroPed in October 2021. Graduated in Psychology at Univesidad Autónoma de Madrid (2014).
Later on she completed the Master's in Cognitive Neuropsychology at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Masters in General Psychology
Health by the Distance University of Madrid. She obtained the title of Specialist in Disorders of the Autism Spectrum by the National University of Distance Education.
As complementary training has the Level 2 training for the multi-sensory stimulation in people severely affected by ISNA Spain and the introductory level in the Early Start Denver Model. In addition, you have the certification for the application of assessment tests for specific diagnosis of autism, the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
Likewise, she has training in Therapies and Contextual Therapies in the Third Generation, as well as experience in intervention with children and adolescents under this model.
As professional experience highlights the attention to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems, neuropsychological rehabilitation in children with abnormal neurodevelopment, the attention of people with signs or diagnosis of autism and the
specialization in differential diagnosis within neurodevelopmental disorders.
She is currently the manager of the area of specialized diagnostic and intervention in autism spectrum disorders of NeuroPed, performing functions of coordination with external professionals, coordination of our team and care for the families, as well as
direct care with our patients. Serves children and families in Spanish as well as
in the English language.
She combines her clinical work with training activity in congresses and postgraduate studies, in which she participates as faculty partner.
Iria Meléndez
Neuropsychologist
She holds a Degree in Psychology from the Universidad de Barcelona. She is licensed as a General Health Psychologist and has a Master's in Neuropsychological Rehabilitation from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.
Additionally, she holds the title of Expert in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Official College of Psychologists of Cataluña and has experience in publishing research articles in high-impact journals and participating in national and international conferences.
She is specialised in therapies contextual or third-generation applied to children, adolescents
and parents (Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment, ACT) at Madrid Institute of Contextual
Psychology (MICPSY).
During her professional career, she has had the opportunity to train
in different contexts and countries, provided support to children and families with diagnoses and problems of emotional variety.
During the time the United States has supported her training at Boston Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, she has deepened her knowledge of Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Compassion-Based Therapy.
Now part of the team of Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, and Learning Enhancement Unit (LEU). She coordinates the services of counselling and helping children and
adolescents.
She has designed and implemented workshops for professionals in bilingual or multilingual. Her vocation is psychology, with the objective of providing support during childhood and adolescence to prevent future emotional difficulties in adulthood. She has been working in this field since 2011, and it is now impossible for her to imagine doing any other type of work.

MARINA MARTÍN

A graduate in Psychology and Criminology at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in 2021. Masters Psychology General Health at the Universidad Villanueva 2023 and Master's degree in Neuropsychology at Universidad International de Valencia.</p><p>She has always been passionate about working with children, but her love for the child neuropsychology began taking advantage of her experience studying in the United States for seven years to give private lessons of English conversation to children with learning difficulties</p><p>Formed in the Foundation ANAR in psychological intervention in emergency situations. She has done internship in school counseling and a centre for neuroscience applied to education, where she started to gain experience in the evaluation and rehabilitation of children and adolescents with different neurodevelopmental disorders.

Cintia joined the team Neuroped in February 2020. Degree in Speech therapy at the University of Castilla La Mancha in the year 2018. Has been undertaken by the Official Master's degree in Intervention Speech at the University Complutense of Madrid (2019).
Likewise, he has studied the Master's degree in Orofacial Motor function by the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (2023). You also have the qualification of the Graduate program in Orofacial Motor function by the IEPAP.
It holds the title of Expert in Dyslexia and Lectoescritur (2022). Cintia has made its practices
in different contexts, such as in the Central Hospital of the Defense Gómez Ulla and in different centers of neurodevelopment in children.
Currently, she has extensive experience in the evaluation and rehabilitation of children and adolescents with various disorders of the communication, oral and written language, speech, and alterations in motor functions and orofacial.
He has collaborated in research
related to the Specific Disorder of Language (TEL) and the deficit Disorder
attention hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In addition, it engages in studies of early Care and in the validation of different tests of neurodevelopment and oral language.
He works as a tutor of practices of students of the practices of the degree of speech from different universities and participates in the training workshops of the University of the Basque Country on the assessment and intervention of speech and language.

AINARA CANTON

Ainara joined the team NeuroPed in January 2023. Graduated in Speech therapy (2021), specialized in brain damage, by the Complutense University of Madrid and Graduated in Psychology (2021), specializing in addictions, from the Complutense University of Madrid. Ainara is bilingual in Spanish and English, after receiving a bilingual education from an early age, studying in the united States during baccalaureate managed to achieve a high level of English both written and spoken. Thanks to this, it has the Certificate of Cambridge English C1 Advanced (Reading and writing) and C2 Profiency (Spoken).
Due to the double degree, Ainara has been able to make practices in different contexts hospital and clinical with both adult and infant populations. This has contributed a vast knowledge of the language, as a cognitive process, alterations possible in the communication, rehabilitation, and assessment. It has also been able to participate in a research project on the Diversity of learning for inclusion and collaborative learning in the University Complutense of Madrid.

Vanessa joined the team Neuroped in May 2017. Diploma in Physiotherapy at the European University of Madrid (2004), with a Postgraduate degree in
Neurofisioterapia child (2005) and an Expert in physical therapy Neurological Child and Adult.
In addition, it also holds the certification in Therapy Restrictive Pediatric (Constraint Induced
Therapy: Pediatric Applications-CIT) and in the application of the scale Bayley-III, being a collaborator in the Spanish adaptation of the battery of infant development Bayley-IV.
As an expert in physical therapy Neurological after more than 15 years of experience, he has developed his professional career in the field of neurorehabilitation, with children and adolescents with acquired brain damage and congenital, always linked to the world of neurodevelopmental children and their families.
Vanessa works as a tutor of the practices of the degree of physical therapy from the university and the Master of physical therapy Pediatric, University San Pablo CEU.
He has also collaborated in the creation of the agenda of Neurodevelopmental Engine to the
European university of Madrid and participates in the training workshops of the University in the Country
Basque in the development sensorimotor.

Paula Hernan
Occupational therapy
Paula joined the NeuroPed in April 2022. Graduated in Occupational Therapy at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2016 and later did a Masters in Neurorehabilitation at Instituto Superior de Estudios Psicológicos.
She has also completed training in Early Care and is formed in various models and approaches to intervention and Sensory Integration of Ayres, motor Control task-oriented, multi-sensory stimulation and training in ASD.
She has developed her professional experience working with older people, adults with acquired brain injury as well as with young people and adults with mental health problems, combining her work with volunteer work with children at risk of social exclusion.
