For this reason, since NeuroPed we have developed a series of specific programs for this to be as natural as possible.<\/p><p>From the point of view of the Public Health system, the transition to adulthood occurs at the age of 18 years, the child passes the health system pediatric to adult healthcare system, the families have to find their way in the adult healthcare, and this change sometimes tends to be problematic. The question is, How can we help in this transition?<\/p><p>The fundamental characteristic of the child population is that they will need a follow-up and monitoring of your evolution and prevention of complications throughout their development and in some cases during his maturity. The treatment period will last, therefore, until the transition of the child\/adolescent care adult, a time of great difficulty and risk.<\/p><p>The time will depend on the current and future needs of the person, usually occurs between 16 and 19 years of age. The key aspects to ensure a good transition are: the transfer of responsibility for the health care and the provision of education, training or employment after leaving school. In NeuroPed we will support in the search for the facility that best suits the needs of each child.<\/p><p>From the point of view of the functionality, it is necessary to provide these kids with the tools sufficient for their transition to adult life the best it can be, in this way, in NeuroPed we have created special programs to make our way towards the adult life.
